We’re all praying for a summer of ‘glorious’ British sun. Although one wonderful weekend has just been and gone, we all know that the weather can be temperamental. Yet we need not worry, because London’s music festival line up is looking hot enough for us to not give a damn about the clouds.

1. Lovebox

Since 2002, Lovebox have been showcasing the best of the year’s Electronic, Dance and Hip-Hop talent at Victoria Park. This year, the line-up includes the likes of Major Lazer, Diplo, Hannah Wants, Joris Voorn and Ricardo Villalobos.

15th — 16th July

2. Born and Bred

Rinse FM and Found Series have teamed up to bring the Born and Bred Festival to Hackney’s Haggerston Park. Expect eclectic sounds, from some of the country’s best Grime, Hip-Hop and Drum ’n’ Bass to House, Techno and Garage sets. Big names include Geko, Skeptical, AJ Tracey or Youngsta.

4th — 5th June

3. British Summer Time

This year we can all rejoice, as the BST in Hyde Park is being extended. For this one, you buy individual tickets for each act and (no surprises) there are some HUGE names on the list this year. Stepping onto the stage, we have the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Jamie XX, Alabama Shakes and the incredible Steve Wonder.

1st — 10th of July

4. Somerset House Summer Series

Not only has the Summer Series got a great line up, but the setting is extraordinary. Set within the courtyard of Somerset House, it’s an alternative to the park-based festivals and one where you can expect an amazing and amplified atmosphere. On the list, they have James Morrison, Benjamine Clementine, Everything Everything and St Germain — to name but a few.

7th — 17th of July

5. Wireless

Probably one of the most awaited festivals in London. Wireless hits Finsbury Park in the early half of July. It’s extremely well known for its Hip-Hop, Rap, Grime, R&B and Electronic line-ups, with artists such as Chase & Status, J. Cole, Jeremih, Calvin Harris or Martin Garrix.

8th — 10th of July

6. Junction 2

This is a first kids. Junction 2 is the first ever pure ‘underground’ Techno festival to take place in London. It’s all set to go ahead in Boston Manor Park, with probably the best techno line-up you could imagine. Adam Beyer, Pan Pot, Nina Kraviz, Dixon and Âme are headlining the event, but the full line-up is one to look forward to.

4th July

8. We Are FSTVL

For a third year, We Are FSTVL returns to Damyn’s Hall Aerodrome in Upminster. It’s set to be one of the captials biggest festivals this summer, with 11 different stages each welcoming electronic and dance music artists from all over the world. Look out for Loco Dice, Tale Of Us, Hannah Wants, Dj Snake, Steve Angello and Shadow Child.

28th — 29th May

9. Raw Power

If you don’t trust the weather and want a guaranteed dry experience, then head to Raw Power. This indoor festival, taking place at 2A Dartmouth Park Hill, runs for three days at the end of May (Bank Holiday plans, anyone?). The music is pretty alternative, but definitely something you can get crazy with… from alterpsych heaviness and space rock to left field electronica… (We don’t really know what they are). But if it’s your kind of thing, you’re sure to know Melt-Banana, Part-Chimp, Test Dept: Redux, Teeth of the Sea, Selvhenter and Follakzoid very well.

27th — 30th of May.

10. Camden Rock

A big day for Rock ’n’ Roll, baby. If you like those open air city vibes and love a bit of guitar greatness, you can head to Camden on the first week of June. There, over 200 rock banks will perform across 20 venues in Camden town!

4th June
